When should I buy my eSIM?

Quick answer

Buy a few days before departure and install the profile while you still have reliable Wi-Fi at home. Installing early is safe on packages that only start counting when you first connect at your destination - but not on packages that start as soon as they are installed.

Why install before you fly

• Installing needs a working internet connection, which is exactly what you may not have on arrival.
• If the profile fails to download, you have time to contact us before you travel.
• Airport and airline Wi-Fi is often too restricted to complete an eSIM download.

Check the activation policy first

Packages differ. Some begin their validity period the moment the eSIM is installed; others begin when the line first registers on a network at your destination. Your package details state which applies. If yours starts at installation, install close to departure rather than weeks ahead.
