How can I top up an eSIM?

Quick answer

Sign in, open /app/esims, and look at the eSIM you want to extend. If a top-up is offered for it, the option appears alongside that eSIM. If no option is shown, a top-up is not available for it and you should buy a new package instead.

Why a top-up may not be offered

• Not every package supports top-ups. It depends on the package and destination.
• An eSIM that has expired or been used up may no longer be eligible.
• Top-ups are only offered for eSIMs still in a state that can accept more data.

If no top-up is available

Buy a fresh package for the same destination from /esim-store. It will be issued as a new eSIM with its own installation details, which you install alongside or in place of the current one.

What a top-up does

A top-up adds data to the eSIM already installed on your phone. Nothing new needs to be installed, and no new QR code is issued - so check the remaining data on the existing line rather than waiting for a second eSIM to appear.

Important

Arrange extra data before your current allowance runs out. Once a package is fully depleted or expired you may lose the connection you need to complete a purchase.
