When does my eSIM data package expire?
Last updated: 2026-09-03
Quick answer
A package ends when either its validity period runs out or its data allowance is used up, whichever happens first. The validity period is counted in consecutive calendar days from the moment the package activates - not from the day you bought it.
What decides the start date
The clock starts according to your package's activation policy: either when the eSIM is installed, or when it first connects to a supported network at your destination. Your package details state which applies.
Where to see your expiry
Sign in and open /app/esims. Each eSIM shows its status, its validity window, and the remaining data we last received from the network. See how can I check my current data usage for how up to date that figure is.
Important
- Validity runs in calendar days, including days you do not use the phone.
- Unused data does not roll over. See what happens to the unused data.
- Once a package expires, the line stops carrying data even if the profile is still installed.
