How do I install an eSIM on my Samsung Galaxy device?

Quick answer

On Samsung Galaxy, go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM. From there you can scan the QR code supplied with your order, or enter the activation code by hand if scanning is not possible.

Steps

1. Connect the phone to Wi-Fi.
2. Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
3. Tap Add eSIM.
4. Choose Scan QR code, or enter the code manually if you cannot scan.
5. Wait for the profile to download, then confirm.
6. In SIM manager, name the line and set it as the preferred SIM for mobile data.
7. Apply the data roaming setting your package specifies for that line.

What to check

• Keep your physical SIM active for calls and texts if you want to keep your usual number reachable.
• Menu wording differs slightly across One UI versions; look for SIM manager or SIM card manager.

Important

An eSIM installs to one device only, and the code is single-use. Install on the phone you are travelling with.
