Troubleshooting
What can I do if my device is network or carrier-locked?

Quick answer
A phone locked to an operator will not accept a third-party eSIM. Only the operator that locked it can unlock it - eSiMAZE cannot. Check the lock status before buying a package.
How to check
- iPhone and iPad: Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock. It should read No SIM restrictions.
- Android: the wording varies; look under Settings > About phone or Settings > Connections for SIM lock or network lock status. If in doubt, ask your operator.
How to get it unlocked
- Contact the operator the phone was bought from and request an unlock.
- Expect conditions such as the contract or instalment plan being fully paid.
- Follow their instructions exactly. Some unlocks complete over the air, others need a code or a specific restart.
- Re-check the lock status before installing your eSIM.
Important
Do not install an eSIM onto a locked device hoping it will work. The code is normally single-use, so a failed installation can consume it. Confirm the phone is unlocked first - or install on a different unlocked device that supports eSIM.
